Introduction Course

OBJECTIVE:

This is a practical orientated course with the main objective to assist companies involved with pumps and pumping systems to expose their employees to the pump industry and equip these employees with a basic knowledge of pumps and related products. The approach taken for this course is to give non-technical staff such as receptionists, accounting and administration staff, buyers, store men, logistical and sales staff an elementary understanding of how pumps function and get these delegates “pump literate”.

1.1)        Basic Pump Principles and how a pump works.
1.2)        Pump Types
1.3)        Pumping Systems
1.4)        Introduction to Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH)
1.5)        Introduction to Mechanical Seals and Gland Packing
1.6)        Installation, Operation and Maintenance
1.7)        Introduction to Drives
1.8)        Basic Electricity
1.9)        Submerisble Pumping
1.10)      Basic Pump Testing
